This is an issue that would take some experience in a few areas mainly sodering, My best advice is to first off see if your warranty is still good but even if its not you are probably going to save yourself a big headache by sending it to the manufactuer and let them repair it.

The 4 satilite speakers are all the same. You can get new speaker wire at the local Radio Shck or electronics store. They just recomend an 18 gauge wire. When you wire them the red terminal on the speaker is hooked to the red terminal of the sub woofer speaker. On the back of you volume controller there is a place to plug in the wires from your sound card or motherboard. One cable will do the front speakers and another one will do the rear speakers.

You can't exactly set volume but definitely turn down the bass which lowers the sub's output. Thats all we can do i think.
