Marantz CD5004 tray keeps opening problem
CD/DVD players use a protocol;
Open tray. Insert disk. Tray switch tells mechacon that the tray is shut. Attempt to focus on disk.
If focus is acheived, then it will spin up and try to read the disk otherwise it will ask for a readable disk.
If the tray keeps opening, I would suspect the tray detect switch is malfunctioning, maybe the drive belt has stretched.
I have a Marantz PMD510 dual cassette deck. Both
There are no fuses in this unit. The decks can't read or record because either the connection switches from the heads to the boards have failed or the power source is no longer active.
You will need to locate the switch by following the data cable coming from the heads and determine why it has failed and how it can be fixed. Then check the connections from the switch to the signal board. Finally check the power : the output of the transformer and the filtering and stabilization stages.

HI, would you know what error code CY920 on my Marantz NR1607 means ?
The Marantz NR1607 is an AV Receiver, and the CY920 error code is not a recognized error code for this product. It's possible that this is a custom or specific error code for your device, and I would recommend contacting Marantz support or the manufacturer for more information. They may be able to provide you with a solution or more information on what the error code specifically means and how to resolve it.

Marantz DV 9500 DOES NOT PLAY ANY of normal CDs. Reads ONLY Super Audio CDs. What could be the cause for this fault?
- Hardware issue: The CD player may have a hardware issue, such as a damaged laser or faulty electronics, that is preventing it from reading normal CDs.
- Firmware issue: The CD player's firmware, which is the software that controls the device, may be outdated or corrupt, causing it to only read Super Audio CDs.
- Compatibility issue: The CD player may not be compatible with normal CDs, and is only able to read Super Audio CDs due to their specialized format.
In terms of adjusting the laser pick-up, it is generally not recommended to try to adjust the laser pick-up yourself, as it can be a delicate process that requires specialized equipment and knowledge. If you believe the issue may be related to the laser pick-up or other hardware, it may be necessary to seek the assistance of a qualified technician or the manufacturer.
If the CD player is unable to read the content of a normal CD and is returning to 00:00 tracks on the display, it is possible that the issue may be related to the laser pick-up or other hardware. It is also possible that the issue may be related to internal ICs or other electronics, in which case it may be necessary to diagnose the issue further to determine the cause and find a solution.
Marantz Surround SR7500 Receiver (don't know if anyone has this model)
Hi 3303k
Strange dramas you are having there. I would suggest first, that you switch the unit off overnight(unplug at the wall) to allow for a fulll hard reset. Then fire it up in the morning again, and see if it behaves itself. I found a user manual for you online
hereIt is a good amp that you have, and hopefully resetting it will sort it out for you. If not, please do get back to me here and we shall look deeper..
Thanks for using FixYa, a FixYa rating would be great for looking into this for you. Happy to help further :)

Marantz amp freezes... What could be the problem?
From the description you have a microprocessor control problem, the only thing I can suggest is unplug everything from the amp, including speaker wires, and anything that is hooked to it, remove plug from wall receptical and let the amp sit for 30 minutes in a effort to get the processor ic to reset. If there is no change you will need a professional to resolve this issue and I recommend a estimate.
