You need to ensure that the batteries are fully charged. On the handset while talking, the phone should show how much battery charge is left. The other thing to check is how far are you from the phone base. For example if your base is on the first floor and you are on the third floor using the handset, then you might loose the signal clarity and eventually loose the connection to the base. To ensure that you are getting enough signal on all the floor, you can purchase a range externder from the manufacturer of your phone.
I have same problem but it will happen while I am in middle of talking. handset will go dead and say it is not connecting to base, but base indicates line is in use. I try it with other handsets to no avail
Thats because there are too many handsets registered to base OR it can't find the base. Did you set it to register then pressed the little tab in on the bottom of the base? You have to hold tab down and keep phone close to base (a foot or so). If handset goes out of reg mode, you have to put it back in, then quickly press base tab down again before it stops.
Maybe a magnet has come loose in the handset, Or you have exposed it to a magnet. Or there is a loose conection when you slide the handset. Either way you will need a new display
Remove the battery immediately. Don't put back the battery again at all in your handset until and unless your handset get fully dried. Also do not try to Switch On your handset, as this will result in permanent damage of your handset's main board.
Take your handset to the Authorised LG Service Centre and they will do the needful. Don't try to open it yourself.
I work at uniden...IF YOU HAVE A TRU, DECT, DXAI, EXAI (ANYTHING BUT DCT) MODEL what you have to is press the red key (the end key) and the # key at the same time...scroll down to base unavailable, press select, go to base #1 press select, scroll up to yes press select, place handset on main base, it will say handset registering and registration complete. I
Sir, first check that the status of automaic updates of date & time on your handset. If that is off please turn it ON as is ur handset gets resetted from time to time it will take the service providers date & time which is almost accurate. If this doesnt help then try replacing the battery.IF that doesnt help then only one thing can be done A software Reflash. Take your handset to a repair workshop & have the firmware flashed. Thats the final solution.
Thank u
Next time it goes dead, try wiggling the cord where it plugs in the handset and where it plugs into the phone. If the problem goes away, you will need a new cord.
Hope this helps, and if so, please rate my advice.
