Hi,
To make a chat room:-
Click on Action, scroll down to Invite a Conference.. and chose any of your friends to chat..
In general:
Yahoo! chat has been problematic for most everyone who tries to enter rooms over the last year .
Billions of Yahoo! website users from all over the world who love to chat,try to enter into the chat room as it's free,so it's server is always busy and not supposed to get you in immediately you ask for it, wait,have patience and you'll have your request accepted.
You might need to first check some settings on your PC.
In your Messenger window:
1. Click on Messenger.
2. Click on Preferances.
3. Click on General.
4. Check box says: "Open web links in new browser window."
5. Check box that says: "Automatically sign me in when I click on a Yahoo link in Messenger."
6,.) Click on Apply.
7.) Click on OK.
If that does not work, you might also need to check these settings:
1.) On your Internet Exploer toolbar, click on tools.
2.) Click on Internet Options.
3.) Click tab that says Programs.
4.) Near the bottom Where it says Default Web Browser, make sure Internet Explorer IS the default web browser.
5.) Click on Apply.
6.) Click on OK.
When the chat room loads wait about 3-5 minutes before clicking "Enter" , that works well for me . Otherwise just keep trying over and over and over usually takes alot of tries . Most likely your giving up too easily . Once you get into the room add it to your favorite rooms , then instead of having to wait for the room list to come up use "Join chat room" >> "Favorites" . Sometimes that works faster .
Also if you are not 18 it wont let you in...
