Pictures goes to distorded wavy lines.

I have a 27 in Sanyo DS27910 TV. One day I moved my TV and put it in the den. In the move, the TV quit working properly. The TV turns on and sound is normal. However, the picture comes on and then goes to just a wavy distorted picture. Previously, total black screen would show redish lines but never any other problem.

This could be attributed to tuning reception of your tv. If your using antenna only, it is most probable. If cable, check your line.

If this is a crt type, moving that tv with that size could somehow bend its circuit board. Loose connection is a probability. Could be some minor component is detached from solder. This can be attributed to tuner and vertical IC.

Just for an input.

Sanyo TV stretches outwards and shakes

If the picture is closing (top to bottom) and goes back to normal when you hit it you probably have a bad solder connection on IC501 (location number) the vertical deflection IC on a metal heat sink. If you mean outwards as in side to side as it looks in the picture, I don't know specifically where to solder but get a magnifying glass and look for suspected bad solder connections. Look for the word width if it is there. It is good that you a confident in soldering.

Sanyo DS27910 27" TV

Sounds like either there's no connection to an antennea or your tuner is dead. Our TV has the same problem, so we took out the tuner and the games and dvd plays good still. So it's probably the tuner.
