Image distortion I am having trouble when I download pictures onto my computer. The images look fine on LCD but once downloaded have either distorted color (streaks of green or other colors) or they have lines running through which make the images not aligned correctly. Each time I download pictures from the camera a greater quantity of pictures seem to be distorted and corrupted.
I'm having the same problem. When I download pics to my computer from my Olympus Stylus 710 camera...they show up with pink and green lines, VERY distorted or have large gray squares over them. It seems to be ruining more and more photos on the computer everytime I try to download something.I'm having the same problem. Wide screen monitor distortionDepending upon the screen resolution that has been set inDisplay, the image will be distorted on these large wide screen monitors. Create a large circle image using a draw program such as Paint (hold down theShift key as you create the circle as it will draw a perfect circle). Open Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and adjust the Screen resolutionslider, increase or decrease the screen resolution then bring the circle imageto the front and check the image, if the circle is still distorted then changethe screen resolution and check the circle again until you are satisfied withthe image of the circle. When you are satisfied then click apply.
If the pics are fine when you download them, then the sensor is fine. The distortion is more likely a screen problem. Sometimes a small crack in a corner will cause such a problem.
Does the distortion affect the pictures too? I mean do you see the distortions on the pictures when you transfer them to the computer? Please answer this question as it is important to determine whether its an image sensor fault or a problem with the screen itself
I think the picture board on your lcd is malfunctioning, that is why the image is distorting and since you said you cannot see anything, it means the
picture
board of your lcd has developed fault.
The best thing for you
to
do now is to take the lcd to a local repairer within your vicinity or
any service center
to help with the replacement of the picture board
because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to
complicate issues.
Hi! It's a faulty CCD imager - a very common problem with the T33 - the imager has to be replaced. You can buy it from http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/toms.rammsteins and replace the CCD yourself (ask seller the instructions).
If the pictures look normal when viewing them on the camera but have this color distortion afer downloading them to the computer it sounds like they are getting corrupted during the transfer. Try a different USB cable if you can or try downloading them to a different computer to see if the problem persists and if the same images are displaying the same problems.
it means the resolution of the photos that you have downloaded is small . and when you zoom it , it get distorted . so try downloading large resolution images . minimum resolution should be 800 * 600 for good quality ..
If the LCD and pictures are both bad, the CCD is most likely going south. It is an expensive repair via SONY but I may start doing these far cheaper myself if I get a few customers. pishta68 at hotmail.com
