Windows 7 making random tones. It just won't stop. I have to keep it muted so it won't drive me crazy. How do I fix?

Check the microphone controls in sound settings on the taskbar if the mic is unmuted the speakers will make funny noises

My new speakers in my 2004 1500 chevy dodge ram stopped working randomly.

Go recheck for loose connections at both ends (the radio-harness and the speaker).

I have an Asus U46E. my sound seems to randomly stop working, how can i fix it?

Check your speaker terminal connection going into your laptop to make sure it is not shorting or falling out. Try using a pair of headphones to see if this issue is still present.

Else, try updating to the newest sound card driver, available here:

My mac home computer is working fine...but randomly the left speaker just stopped working...the green light wont turn on...everything is plugged in correctly

It will be good to look into the unit for any fault in the speaker section.
Maybe there is some dry soldering or loose connections in the unit

Speakers cut out randomly

The only thing i can think of is the amount of power surging into the speakers is too great and they are cutting of to avoid blowing out. I have a similar issue with my surround sound if i turn it up too loud.

Right speaker doesn't work

I had this very same problem and I had my system for about 2 weeks. I have seen a lot of similar posts on this site so it seems that this problems happens a lot. For some reason my right speaker just stopped working so i came to this site for help. I looked at alot of posts and nothing fixed the problem. when i switched the right speaker to the left input it started to work so I knew the speakers were fine. So i finally decided to unplug everything and restart my laptop. Once my laptop rebooted I plugged the sub back into the wall after about a minute of it being not plugged in. Then I plugged all the the wires and volume control back into the sub and turned the switch back on. Make sure the volume control is down when you plug everything back in. Then plug the wire into the device, which in my case was a laptop, and start to play some tunes. Right away everything was working perfectly fine again and no problems ever since...for me atleast.

HOPE THIS HELPS
