Just to be safe, verify that there's not any sort of obstruction in the slot. Some makers place a "dummy" card in the slot to keep it clean for shipping.
Looking at the top of your scanning unit, the mSD card should go in gold contacts facing up & towards the unit with the cut corner to the right (facing the head of the scanner). If it doesn't go with slight pressure, return to the seller.
Pandigitals products are Panditigal Novel, Digital Photoframe, Photo Scanners Converters, etc.. so that CD should be the Driver CD for one of the devices, perhaps it's written on the Cd or you may check the contents of the CD on your computer.
have a pandigital scanner that worked great for about 500 pics then lines stared to show up, tried cleaning and calibrating but did not help, decided to take apart and found that the glass on the surface of the scan part was dirty, cleaned the glass and put back together works perfect, took about 10 minutes to fix
