This actually could be your amp...try turning the gain down slowly and you will hear the bumping either stop or become morelike music background thanmusic foregroud. i had this problem with an older amplifier and i fixed it by getting a larder power/ground wire size and decreasing the gain a little.

I have a d5000 amp and its wired up to a 15.2 hcca orion sub when i turn it up high volume,it cuts out anyone know why

make sure you have the frequency cuts right. if ur giving the sub anything lower then 30hz (assuming ur using 15's) the amp will cut out to protect the woofers from overload

My Orion d-5000 amp which is wired to an Orion hcca 12.2 sub cuts out at high volumes , it's wired with 0 guage wires

Your speaker is a dual 2ohm sub. If you have both voice coils wired Parallel that will drop the ohm load to 1, which the amp can not handle. You need to wire the voice coils in series. Treat each voice coil as a speaker.

Orion hcca 250

i can make this relatively simple.
2 stages:
Stage (1) wiring the Sub inside the box;
Unscrew the SUB from the Box, (& undo the wires)
Connect both +Positive terminals on the SUB to the +Positive terminal on the inside of your BOX.
Connect both -Negative terminals on the SUB to the -Negative terminal on the inside of your Box,
Then screw the SUB back into the Box.
u Have just wired yr sub in parallel. any Amplifier will see it as 1woofer with 1OHMs resistance.

Stage (2) bridging your amp
(please check Amplifier instructions on which terminals to use)
generally you use "LEFT -Negative" and
"Right +Positive"
and connect to the corresponding terminals on the Sub Box.
Hope that helps someone.

Power wire keep blowing fuses

you need to go tho a block fuse which will be able to handle more load but will still give way before the amp its self would get fried i recommend a 75 fuse or higher

Orion hcca 12d subwoofer wiring

I had two of those they are awsome subs! anyway your best to connect them in parallel that is both positive wires connected together and both negative wires connected together then connect pos and neg to amp in a bridged configuration if its a 4 channel amp - this will put your subs under a 2ohm load and make sure you turn down gain and set your filter to low pass (very important!) turn up gain in increments till your happy :) rock on!
