The acc means a power on connection when you turn on the key..On your amp you'll see a blue wire or a connection that says remote..Then find a connection on the car that when the key is turn on or when the radio turns on it turns your amp on for you threw that wire..Hope this helps you...

Hello, this is my first post, and I don't speak good english, but I can help, if you give me the brand and the model of your car I can tell exactly wich wire and wich color is for the remote, so you can avoide damage something, the thing is, in your stereo, you have a red wire, yellow, blue and black, maybe a orange and anothers, the red is the remote, this let you turns on your stereo only when you have your car in acc position or on, the yellow wire goes to voltage always, battery directly is good option, but it's a recomendation use a fuse if your stereo does not have it,this wire let you keep your config (like radio memories, and audio preset),  the blue it's the remote, this goes to the amplifier on remote terminal, this wire has voltage when you turns on your stereo, so when you turns on your stereo, this wire turns on your amplifier, but you have to wire a wide wire from battery across a fuse to the 12 volts terminal on amplifier, and it's from there when came all the power to your amplifier, and the remote wire, it's just a signal to turn on the system. Hope help

Sub amps are pretty straight forward.....Hook up you rca cable....then all thats left is you positive (B+) that goes to your battery....the negative that you should hook to a good paint free bolt in your trunk and the remote wire which connects to your stereo.....

My amp will only turn on if the remote wire is connected to the remote and also touching the power terminal but if you do it like that then it wont shut off when you turn the car off please help

The remote wire is meant to turn on the amp when it gets power.
Normally this is supplied by the REMOTE output on your AM/FM/CD/DVD dash device.
If the output on your car stereo is no longer providing power to the remote switch output, look for other things that only have power when the car is on.
The currend draw to the amp from the remote line is miniscule, and you can pretty much meter the fuse panel for things that only have power when the key is in the ACC or ON position, such as the in dash radio power line or some other suitable line.
Ideally you'll want something that supplies 12V in the ACC, and ON positions of the key, but not in the OFF position of the key.

I have this hooked up and works fine with the key on, but when i start the car, sub light, amp and sub dont come on.

You have connected it to the wrong power wire - one that is only active in service mode - first key position.
You should draw a wire directly from the battery (don't forget to add a 40 amps fuse on the wire) to the amps. If you don't want them constantly operational (you will have to manually shut them down) install a relay on the wire with the command coming from a wire from the instrument key position - second position of the key. Use a voltmeter to identify the wires.

How to hook up a kenwood amp.kac-5204

All amps are basicly the same. It should be plain as day where the speakers connect to.
The 12V screw connects to the main power from battery, be sure to fuse that wire and use a proper size wire, thicker is better,I suggest at least 8gauge with 40amp fuse. The GND is ground and should connect to car metal, file paint for soild connection. The REM is remote and connects to the remote of headunit or if you have a stock deck to the acc of car found in wire harness of headunit. Plug in the RCA's to head unit, or get a converter to plug into speaker wires from car if you have a stock headunit.

My amplifier in my car only works on the radio setting I think it is somethig to do with the remote wire but I had the same harness in the car and thought It might be that but when I connected the new one...

not sure where the amp remote wire is connected at this point (possibly a power antenna wire?) but you should find your rem wire and hook it up to your stereo's acc wire. The wire should only have power when the car is in acc/run settings and no power when the key is on the off position. this assures that no matter what function on your head unit you are using, the amp will always be powered up.

H ,ive brout a second hand fusion 10 inch sub, with built in amp .i have already tryed to c if its going to work ,all conectins are fine but no power is running to sub and amp i checked the fusez no...

Do you have the remote on from the head unit hooked up. If there is nothing to tell the amp to turn on it wont. You can bypass this to see if the thing works by using a jumper wire from the power wire to the remote on. I don't suggest leaving it like that though cause it will drain your battery over time. You need to hook the remote on to a power source that is only on when the radio is on. Like a power antenna wire.

Wiring problem

If you have an aftermarket stereo, the hook up is fairly simple. On your amp there should be a minimum of 5 terminals and an audio input. one is for remote which is connected to the blue wire on your stereo. Second is your ground which is your negative connection. it should be connected to the body of the car close to the frame. Third is your hotwire which is the positive lead, it should go straight to your battery. The fourth and fifth are speaker wires, you may have 2 or more of these that have + and - signs above or below them. When wiring the speakers make sure to match the positive and negative connections on the speakers. If your rewiring all of the door speakers to your new amp then the colors that you see once you have them out are the colors you route to the appropriate locations on your amp. If this is for a sub then you just the connect th positive terminal on the sub which is red to the + on the amp and the black terminal on the sub the the - location on the amp.

Lastley there should be an audio input that runs from your stereo to your amplifier. This wire should be ran as far away from the positive wire as possible to avoid engine noise coming through your speakers.
