LG Dishwasher LDF7810 SST : tE Error (thermal error?)

Dishwasher immediately errors on power on with tE.
Purchased service manual, replaced heater assembly (which contains the thermistor) = Still no go.
Purchased PCB replacement for part number 6871DD1006A which is 6871DD1006E. Hooked it up = still no go.

Not sure what to do next, besides service call.
Any suggestions.

Recommend that you closely check the water temp of incoming water. There is an error in some service manuals and if the inlet water temp is greater than 149 degrees (F) (some manuals incorrectly say 194 degrees), you could get an imediate tE error.
If that does not solve the problem:
_recheck_ the electric resistance of Thermistor. (11~14k Ohms at 77 degrees (F) )
Good Luck!

I get a te code all the time and a he code from time to time.

from Lg this is the meaning of the codes.
  • The heater circuit has failed if "HE" is displayed. Discontinue use and contact a service technician. The dishwasher requires servicing.

TE
  • "TE" means the thermistor has failed or the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher is over 194 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn the temperature down on the hot water heater in the home. If the error code reappears, replace the thermistor.
By the sound of this your heating system is malfunctioning and needs service.
If you need more on this let me know, but it is either your temperature sensor or your heating element or control board.

TE error code problem How to fix the thermistor

The TE error code indicates a heating error, usually caused by a faulty thermistor. First, attempt to clear the error by unplugging the power cord, waiting for 10 seconds, restore the power, and restart the wash cycle. If the same problem happens again, close water tap, unplug the washer because the unit may require service.

Check in the next link the Service Manual for LG WM2277 Service Manual that could help you.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this free answer).

Error code tE, customer service recommended replacing thermoster, replaced but still getting error code. Can it be something else or does something have to be rest?

Hi,
Ive looked through a service manual for your washing machine and that give the exact same fault and solution you mentioned (tE = Heater Error - The THERMISTOR is out of order)
Here is the service manual for you to look at:
WM-2277HW Service manunal
I had to scroll down to the troubleshooting section though but it has everything you would need to know in it.
I hope it helps

LE error

The first thing to check with an LE error on an LG LDFxxxx dishwasher is the drain hose. Start at the point where the drain hose connects to the drain pipe or garbage disposal. Make certain that the hose rises as high as it can. That will form a high point that will prevent the natural siphon effect from draining the water before it should.

Please report back here with what you find. OK?

Good Luck!

AE displayed on LG dishwasher

Please look one more time. The LG LDS 5811 dishwasher error codes are:

IE Error
OE Error
FE Error
E1 Error
HE Error
tE Error

It would also be helpful to know what happens when this error code displays. Please post back here, OK?

Thanks.

Odor, poor drying, cold water

Can you confirm that you own an LG LDF7810 dishwasher?
The symptom you describe is a classic symptom of a failed heating element but the LG dishwasher ~should~ report an error code.

LDF7810BB LG dishwasher won't run

Confirming that this is an LG LDF7811 (which happens to be black) ... What you are seeing is a error code "tE" as in thermal error.
(The mentioned drain error would be "OE" as in Outlet (Drain) error.)
First check (with a thermometer) the inlet temperature of the hot water. If it is greater than 140 degrees, turn down your water heater to no less than 120 degrees and retry.
If problems persist, the problem is probably the thermister.
If it is not a failed thermister, then the controller card (PCB) needs to be replaced. Neither are easily changed and I urge you to contact LG service for repair. (See your manual for the number)
Good Luck! and please report back with what worked.

Heater not working in cycle. No Error Code present

The LG 5811 dishwasher would display the error "tE" if the thermistor has failed. Not seeing an error could mean that the controller card (PCB) has failed. Hard to tell if the heating element has failed or wiring has shorted.
To look a little further, you can see (but not remove) the heating element by removing the filter in the sump area beneath the bottom rack. Disconnect dishwasher from power first and inspect for obvious failure of element.
Gaining access to the heating element is very complicated on the LG units. You have to drop the entire sump unit after turning the dishwasher over on its top.
Recommend a service call.

LG Dishwasher LD-2050WH with HE error code

This is a heater error. The cause is either a bad heating element or bad thermistor (the thermistor is part of the heater assembly). The heater assembly will need to be replaced.

ERROR CODE "TE"

The MOSt common reason for a "tE" error code is the temperature of the hot water from the hot water heater is greater thant 145 degrees (F)
Adjust your hot water heater down and measure the temp at the kictchen tap.
Good Luck!
