I bought a eliminator 3 or 4 years ago, and never really used it, other than charging when I first bought it, so it has been sitting, now when I charge it in clicks on and off and the green light does not stay on steady, clicks on and off, I have charged it for over 48 hours, is it done? Rose

Question does not seem to match this inverters capability.
INFO:
This Power Inverter converts vehicle’s 12-volt DC power into household 115-volt AC power. AC and USB outlets power and/or recharge personal electronics.
We have owned one of these Power inverters for over a year now and have run a great deal with it, from TV to drill press PC and any thing that was small and that could run from my car. Very nice product.
SET UP: Connect wires. ensure correct polarity, push button on top. Plug in 110 volt appliance.
Hope this tip was of some use.

Inverter run on batteries sir, and if these batteries are not charged, the run time {the number of hours it will work} reduces.
S0, you will need to connect the inverter to a power source.Theses will allow your batteries to be charged and enable it to run for a long period of time.
Make sure your batteries are still OK.i.e working properly

When the wattage of an invertor is specified it is meant for the power load but with a gradual CURRENT drain. If you load with modest loads of lighting , fan or other low wattage device it will work without tripping off. In this case your microwave when loaded will initially start up with a large surge current requirement thereby shutting off the invertor as it detects overload. So the safe limit to operate a microwave is to have an invertor above 2000 watts . If the input supply is 24 volts , then it will be more powerful.
Also try with a low wattage/heating setting on the microwave, tighten the battery terminals of the battery . Sometimes it might start but can also damage the invertor. failure of the driver MOSFETS.

I'm sorry that I can't help you, but if you're in a hurry, you can visit the Magnum website at: http://www.magnumenergy.com/Service/Servicefront.htm and try to find your model's online manual and search troubleshooting advice or you can email customer service at
[email protected] and they should at least be able to lead you in the right direction.
A few questions: Does this problem remain even when there is at least a 10+ watt load on your system? is your Magnum in a hot environment? Does your inverter feel extraordinaryily hot? Have your batteries outlived their lives? Have you cleaned all the connections? Even if they 'look' like they don't need it?
All the best to you.
