You are probably missing the driver . For this , try to identify your sound card manufacturer and go to their site to download and install the correct driver . Identifying the sound card is not allways easy , you can ask this at the place where you bought the pc or google to the computer manufacturer's site .

click start control panel on the left select hardware and sound then select manage audio devices playback see which speakers have been selected (green tick) right click select properties enhancements you might be able to make some changes there also select advanced for studio quality or another quality in windows 7

You have to purchase a good quality 3DFX video card to ba able to hook into TV

Check to see if you have a sound card in a pci slot or if the sound is intergrated into the motherboard. If its in the board you can get the driver from the computer or motherboard manufacturer. If its a pci card get the driver from the card manufactures website

You need to update or reinstall the driver for the sound card.Your computer manufacturer support and drivers will have your driver for the sound card if its OEM with your computer. Just enter your computer modal number (Dell enter service tag number) find the right driver and install as instructed. If sound card is not OEM, find make and modal of sound card and get driver from them. I use driverguide.com for drivers I can't find from manufacturer.. Please rate me mysleuth

you can install a PCI vedio card to enhance video quality. a 128mb will do the thing. The integrated sound card you have is good enough, to maximise the sound install good quality speakers with subwooper or boosters
