Band saw blade keeps coming off

Set up your band saw properly. There are several reason why band saw blade keeps on coming off on the wheels: loose/wear tire, improper guide adjustment, incorrect tension, over feeding wood stock or the problem could be on the blade itself. Try to change your blade, I got my band saw blades on sawblade.com . I suggest you watch band saw tune up tutorial videos on youtube. Hope that helps.

What makes a delta 28-243F 14" band saw blade keep coming off?

The most common is wheel misaligment. The top wheel has an adjusting screw or the equivalent somewhere, and you can turn that to align the blade to the center of the wheels.
Second most common is guide problems. There are some guides that are supposed to hold the blade "just right" above and maybe below the table where you are cutting These must be set to support the blade in it's correct position as you are cutting through the material you are cutting.
3rd problem is a saw blade that has lost it's tension from being
" worn out ".
Be blessed.

Blade wanders whenever cutting. Presently using an 1/8 in. blade. Tensioned properly. Have a 12" Craftsman band saw. Had to change double pully with an automotive single pully approximate size as...

What shape are the upper and lower guides in? Also, is the table at 90 degrees? Even a small error can make cutting less reliable if the table is not right on spec. It happens with my drill press sometimes, making the bit try to wander.

How do you keep the blade on the wheel? Mine keeps coming off. It is a Rockwell product. The blade came off while I was using it and I can put it back on both wheels but as soon as I turn it on, the...

Hi,
Sounds like it could be quite a few different things. My suggestion is to go to you tube and look at Band Saw setup. I haved viewed the one from the wood whisper and it covers set up in detail, there are also other videos that may help.

Sounds like a setup problem - wheels, tires, guides, and even blade tension can cause this.

Does the blade track true when turning top wheel by hand?(unplugged of course)
Is the blade tension correct?
Are the tires in good shape?
Are the guides and back up bearings set correctly?

I hope this will get you headed in the right direction.

Blade will not stay strate when you put presher on it

There should be guides where the blade comes out of the top housing. These guides should be adjusted so that they barely touch the blade when no pressure is applied. They keep the blade straight and the bearings (located beneath the table) absorb all the forward and backward pressure. Hope this helps!

Why does the saw cut at an angle?

The table is not perpendicular to the blade travel. Use a small level to make sure the machine is vertical , then set the table. Make sure the blade control guide is working.

8 inch delta band saw that cant keep the band in place in use

The rubber bands on the metal wheels are called tires, and if they are cracked, they may very well be crowned and causing the problem with the band coming off.

To test, remove the back guide (as opposed to the side guides) on the top and bottom guide sets (above and below the table.). Put a blade on, and see if it will stay on. If it doesn't, replace the tires. If it does, reinstall the back guides and make sure they do not touch the back of the blade when the saw is running. There should by about 1/32" between the guide and the blade.

Cuts in circles,,even with new blade

The saw needs to have the blade guides adjusted properly. There are 2 sets of them . One above the table and one below. They may be solid pieces of steel or they may be sealed ball bearings They are the things that move in toward the blades sides to keep it tracking in a straight line. They need to come in toward the blade as close as possible without touching it. I set mine with a piece of paper as a spacer. set both sets like this and your saw should cut straight. Hope this helps you
