Mp3 player won't play wma's and now won't turn on- flashes the iLO main screen
When I got the MP3 player, I put most of my music on and everything worked. After about 2 weeks, it stopped playing the wma's and only played the mp3's. I erased the wma music and re-synced it on the mp3 player as mp3's.
Now after 2 months, it just flashes the iLO main screen and won't turn on at all. I tried to return it at Walmart, which is where I purchased it, but they told me that I would have to contact you. The box stated a 90 day warranty on the mp3 player, but at Walmart, they only do a 15 day warranty. I would like to have my mp3 player fixed or my money refunded. Is there anyway to do this?
Re: mp3 player won't play wma's and now won't turn on-...
The company no longer supports these players
This is the worst mp3 player ever invented - i have to tell you this up front. There is no driver, the company does not support the product anymore - I would return it now while you still can.
Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

plug it up to the computer go to my computer right click the drive for the mp3 player and reformat the drive you also might want to remove the music before reformating it or you will lose the music
You cannot just move WMA songs onto the card and play in the MP3 player. MP3 format may work this way, but for sure the player only seems to be able to recongize WMA files when syncd through Windows Media with the USB cord attached. Be sure the DESELECT 'copy folder hierecy' under the sync options/properties of the MP3 player drive or SD card drive.
When using XP Pro and Windows Media Player you can transfer WMA but you have to go into the PROPERTIES of the drive (mine was mp-556/G: drive) and DESELECT the option to transfer folder hierecy. The MP3 player is not able to reconginize the folder structure it usually creates.
This player only seems to be able to transfer MP3 format with Vista, using windows media player sync. I can syne MP3s formats, but not WMAs at all. Unless someone found otherwise
What, you actually hotwired a flash card into the Ilo? Impressive. Or are you trying to get the Ilo to play music from an SD card, when you have both plugged into the computer?
If you're talking about the first, then I'd say you did a good job at NOT destroying your Ilo. If its the second, then unplug your Ilo, put your headphones into the headphones jack in the computer, and play the music from your computer.
