Remote Controll Sent the remote that came with it back, got a new one from mfg. it also does not work. Any ideas.

take down your remote and clean it with regular alcohol.then set it up back.if that does not correct your problem.you will need to buy a new remote control.check partstore.com they will have remote for your tv .good luck.

the owners manual for the remote/unit should be able to walk you through the steps to program it.

I purchased a new Malata 19", I do not know if the controls are compatibles, but they should be... I recommend you purchase a learner control remote and I can help you program it from my remote control... I know it sounds crazy, but that is the way that I had solved those kinds of problem before...

if you mean remote controll the common trouble of remote controlls is only three
1) the IR LED /infrared led
2) dirty contacts of keypad
3) leaky/open/shorted capacitor

was the tv function working before or not as sometimes the controll will only work certain tv if it did work before is it a controll that can be programmed to work different appliances or not let me know and if you need the code for the remote i will try and get them for you post back and let me know the make and model of ctrl and make and model of the telly you want to programme the controll for ...............................

Buy a new sensor bar. None of my 5 Wii remotes had a cursor on screen so I bought a new sensor bar and it worked fine.

the plug on the side of telly is for a cable remote which you can buy but these are pretty useless it sounds like the controll has got damp or has got greay if you think you can take the controll apart without damaging it then i sugest take the case off and clean behind the buttons this is usually the problem wipe the pads on the buttons then get some cloth that is clean then wipe over the circuit check for water damage then put it back together if this dont still work then you will need new controll as the originall are expensive to buy the best thing to do is buy an all in one remote this should solve your problem hope this is some help for you...........................
