Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
Look in the back. There is a small rubber cap on top of the external antenna hookup. Remove the rubber cap with a pin and hookup a long wire on the middle. That should amplify the signal.
Does the battery hold a charge? Try pressing the RESET button. The Magellan site though very slow may be able to help or make recommendations...Now a days it may be cheaper to buy a new one than fix the old one

To enter an address from Canada thru postal code, you need to change the region setting to Canada. Kindly follow the steps below to change the region settings:
Turn on your Maestro 3225.
Tap “User Options”.
Tap “Region”.
Tap “Canada”.
After changing the region setting to Canada, under “Enter Zip Code” on the Enter Address menu you can type in the postal code of the location that you want to go.
