I like to update magellan maestro 3225

There is no recent software updates for your magallen maestro 4040.

You just have to wait till a new one comes out.

But the most recent for now is the rev 2.26 version you are having.

• For the map update call the customer hotline and check if you can get a free map update or if they have discounts for map update.

I did an update on a Maestro 4000 and it seems that I lost my sound.

if this just happened, and you have not tried to update it (sometimes the update causes this) then power the 4040 on and once it finished loading to the blue screen, using a paper clip, depress the reset switch on the left side and let it restart (little pinhole on the left side under the usb port)

You need the CD that came with the GPS and install the Magellan software first.

is it plugged to AC charge when it comes on?

If not seek out the RESET hole and place a fine pin or paper clip end in and reset the unit

There is a RESET button on the bottom of the unit on the left side
