Pulling the battery will not help it is hard coded in CMOS you need to send it in or take it to a service center that can re flash it for you i do not suggest you re flash BIOS on your own because that could cause a bigger problem

Where is the cmos battery located

The Cmos battery is located on the motherboard or mainboard of the PC. It is very difficult in most circumstances to get to them on a laptop.

Post what your problem is and maybe we can be of further help. Explain the problem and the make and model of the laptop.

Help..Can't boot and forgot bios password

If you can get to the CMOS battery, there should be a set of jumpers close by that should say Clear CMOS or CMOS reset, or something to that effect. There are usually 3 pins, and the jumper is between 2 of them. Remove the jumper and put back over the pin that was open, and the pin next to it that was jumped before. Leave it for a few seconds, then put back to original position. This should clear the bios, and all you in.

Screen problems!

If you feel safe pulling the top plate just above keyboard and removing the keyboard (marker K) on bottom of computer, thie will expose the video cable unplug and reseat it. sometime will fix the problem but the most likely answer will be your LCD is burning out. 5 out of 6 will be LCD but you could be the 1 that just need a reseat.
