Hi
The region codes or unlock hack for this model is not available, if you want to make it region free then you'll need a universal remote like a pronto remote or a One for all remote and then would need to enter the HEX codes to make it region free. It can't be done with the factory supplied remote.
You can buy a pronto remote from this link---
Pronto Remote
Pronto remote hex codes
Please ask for any clarifications and accept this solution if found helpful.
Thanks

Call Panasonic they are the only ones with that code :)
As the others have said, there's no way to unlock a Blu-ray player, yet.
There are people working on it.
The only real solution that *may* work is to rip the Blu-ray disc to your PC, and re-burn it. (This is assuming you have a BD-ROM and BD-Burner in your PC. If not, you're unfortunately out of luck.)
Sir,
The player you have Multiregion Blu-Ray Players. Definition of BLU-RAY multiregion: Can play all 3 regions, A, B, and C. (Similar to regular DVD players being codefree, code free, all region, all zone, regionfree, region free.) With these new BLU-RAY players you don't need a PAL-NSTC TV to display Blu-Ray discs. Any regular USA or foreign TV can display the movies without a converter as long as the TV has HDMI inputs. Problems of video standards, with 50/60 Hertz, of voltage, of lines of resolution etc. are all gone now. Region codes Regions for Blu-ray standard Blu-ray discs may be encoded with a region code, intended to restrict the area of the world in which they can be played; similar to the DVD region codes. Blu-ray players sold in a certain region should only be able to play discs encoded for that region. The purpose of this system is to allow motion picture studios to control the various aspects of a release (including content, date, and, in particular, price) according to the region. Discs may also be produced without region coding, so they can be played on all devices. Region code Area A/1 North America, Central America, South America, Japan, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia. B/2 Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, plus all of Oceania. C/3 India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Mainland China, Pakistan, Russia, Central, and South Asia.
Check with manual and check backside of the player it has code. Or you may be converter to play the disc.
Thanks
Good Luck
Appreciate to rate as "Fixya"
Unfortunately you can not unlock your player. There are a couple options but unfortunately most of them are expensive. Basically your best option is to purchase a region B blu ray player. If you need further assistance let me know. Also please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.
Thank you,
Lee
As i mentioned before there are possibilities to get it working, but you would have to purchase a blu ray burner for a pc computer. then rip the blu ray disc to your pc, then burn it, this would be time consuming and very expensive, it would be cheaper to buy blu ray region b player. These are your only solutions at this point. If you have any other questions please let me know. Also please take a moment to re-rate my solution accordingly.
Thank you,
Lee
Unfortunately the solution to your problem isn't always the one you wanted to hear. It is the only viable solution. Hope you enjoyed the free assistance.

My BD30 plays other regions but not B. Is there a solution to this?
I am told that panasonic has a region lock for the DMP BD30, does any one know how to unlock that?
The opening of the DVD (show previews) works. When it comes to the portion where you need to hit PLAY... PLAY does not work.
We tried Quantum Solace and Indiana Jones.
We bought this in Sept, 2008 and have not used it much.
We put in Christmas Vacation and that played but the remote would not let us use features.,,exception volume always works.
Thanks!
