20 Most Recent Panasonic DMP-BD10 Blu-Ray Disc Player Questions & Answers

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in playing the other region DVDs in the player. Unfortunately, there is no direct way to hack using the supplied Remote.

However, it is possible that if you purchase the All URC-7740 remote to hack the player. Once you get the player, please follow the below steps:

1. hold magic button until the DVD button blinks twice 2. press 994 (magic button blinks twice) 3. press magic 4. enter 5 digit code from above 5. press button (1..0) where to program it (magic button blinks twice) 6. repeat steps 1 to 0 for all keys.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

With people downloading movies illegally, companies have put blocks on DVD's, unfortunately making the DVD unplayable for some blue-ray players

If your player is connected to the internet then you need to check your wireless router. You could first try power cycling the router by unplugging the power cord from the back of your wireless router for 15-30sec or get a paper clip and hit the small reset pin hole on the back of the router. If your still getting this message then you need to find out what wifi security phrase or code is on your wifi router either you have WEP or WPA-PSK security code for your home network. The access point is your wireless router or Modem. If you do not remember or have the passkey then you need to contact your internet router/modem manufacture.

You may have come close to what the issue is---Blu Ray for several design reasons is much more critical than DVD---seen a lot with this issue----either a dirty or a failing optical pickup in the unit---I know as when first started seeing it in our shop changed a few and since under warranty found the answer--optical unit was the problem---shortly after that they started just exchanging the cheaper units.

It is a complex unit made moreso as it is part digital and part analogue. The best advice is to take it to a Panasonic dealer or at least try to obtain a service/repair manual before even thinking about tinkering with it.
