1st you need the ip of the camera in your network at home then you have to go into your router at home at forward either a specific port range of ports or all ports to that Ip address of camera. you will only be able to access it remotely after all this is done. portchecker.com canyouseeme.org
TFC-MSC1000/TFC-MST1000 doesnt not have Auto MDIX so make sure you connect the TFC to a Gigabit(1000Mbps) port on the Cisco switch. If it is connected to a 10/100Mbps, you cannot get a link light
Chances are the wireless portion of the trendnet software is not compatible with vista. I would uninstall the trendnet software or let windows control the wireless portion of it.
Check to see if you are using any encryption ie. wep or wpa or wpa-tsk. If you are then you will need to enter the network key in windows.
