Trendnet TV-IP501w camera will display images/video on IE at home, but not offsite. This is 64-bit Vista. Turning off the firewall does not help. Offsite, all I get is ip# not found or a timeout message....

1st you need the ip of the camera in your network at home
then you have to go into your router at home at forward either a specific port range of ports or all ports to that Ip address of camera.
you will only be able to access it remotely after all this is done.

I have a TrendNet TFC1000 MEdia converter and I cannot get it to negotiate with my core Cisco swith. I have tried changing the DIP settings on the TrendNet box but it still will not negotiate with the core

TFC-MSC1000/TFC-MST1000 doesnt not have Auto MDIX so make sure you connect the TFC to a Gigabit(1000Mbps) port on the Cisco switch. If it is connected to a 10/100Mbps, you cannot get a link light

New Vista laptop and problems setting up wireless

Hi,

Chances are the wireless portion of the trendnet software is not compatible with vista. I would uninstall the trendnet software or let windows control the wireless portion of it.

Check to see if you are using any encryption ie. wep or wpa or wpa-tsk. If you are then you will need to enter the network key in windows.

good luck

smeags.
