Sony Wega model # KV-36FS12 it doesn't work can u help me?

sounds like a vertical problem, usually you'll see one white line across the screen, but one I worked on would come on and the bottom half of the picture was gone and there were lines across the top of the screen.

If you know how to solder & can find the vertical output chip then you could try resoldering the pins. If this doesn't fix it then it needs new parts.

I would look for a Vertical circuit failure. Most likely is the vertical output IC and or open resistor off the hv transformer. Definitely look for any loose solder connections around the Vertical output IC.

1. Will it turn on at all?
2. How many times does the standby light blink? Is it consistent and continuous?
3. Did the screen do anything strange before this happened (did it turn pink? Any lines across the screen?

This is a symptom of the circuit failing.
it will soon be much worse.
You need a tech.
you can verify it is the tv circuit.
remove cable or input another signal such as dvd
bring up the TV' menu. does it have the lines.

dear misskona, I suggest that if you have any technical knowledge the first thing you do is to increase the screen voltage and see if there is a bright line across the screen solder the vertical I.C or remove and fix another working one.if that do not solve the problem there is scat board solder some dry joint.

Hi, tubes getting tired, band-aid fix you can do is remove back of set and turn up(clockwise) the screen control( small black plastic control mounted on side of flyback transformer, do not turn the knob marked focus) until you see a whole bunch of white lines across the screen, then turn same control counter-clockwise until all the lines go away, try several different channels to be sure all the retrace lines are gone, you`ll get up to 1 year more use out of it, than she`s done, good luck, BMW Rider

In CRT board isolate RGB input. Check plain retrace lines appears in white colour. Then jungle ic failure. Otherwise problem in crt board. Maybe dry soldered.

It sounds like you have a loss of green. This could be caused by the green gun in the picture tube opening up or the drive circuit for the green gun gone bad. Stargazer
