Your cleaner is equipped with a safety device which shuts off the brushbar if it gets tangled with a rug fringe, shoelace etc. After making sure the brushbar is free of threads, hair or other obstructions, you'll be able to reset the cleaner and get the brushbar running again. The process is shown in easy-to-follow steps in the video below.

You may find it helps to use something like the eraser-end of a pencil to depress the reset button - make sure you push it in firmly until you hear an audible 'click'.
Please note, the brushbar will never rotate when the cleaner is standing in the upright position, or if you've turned it off manually using the silver brush control switch located next to the red on/off switch.

I searched all my available spots online for a free manual and found nothing, I'm afraid. but Bernina's are not easy to find for free. I'll give you what I found for download, though, which is much cheaper than a hard copy.
I'm sorry I didn't find anything else. You might try doing a search on eBay. Oftentimes, someone sells a manual there for a machine that no longer works or they sell an emailed copy of one they've scanned in to make a few bucks.
I've used www.tradebit.com. It's not free, but extremely reasonable. I've gotten them as cheap as $4.99, and the most I've spent is $20. They have tons of manuals, worht a look to see if your's is available.Good luck!
