Why isToyota Avalon 1998 paint coming off hood

Either it is a bad re-paint job or the sun has cooked it. Is the paint coming off showing bare metal, or a different color? If so, it is probably a bad re-paint job.

I have painted the wallpaper in my kitchen about three times about two years ago I used Dulux matt dark streaks have appeared on the outside walls condensation marks? the paint looks chalky do you think...

There are 2 types of paint I do not like, Behr and Dulux. Buy Benjamin Moore for best results. Painting wallpaper is not advised, if it is not adhered on well, you can have trouble. Streaks could be condensation, especially in a bathroom, a kitchen can also be damp because of boiling pots. Warm moist air condenses on a cool object. It could be the wall paper is losing adhesion. Check to see if the paper moves a bit when pressed. Remedy is remove the wall paper and repaint. Get all the glue off, scrape it after soaking the wall. Sand the wall, wash with TSP, rinse with clean water. If you don't do this, you will get a lousy paint job. You would be best to prime then top coat. Alternately get a paint that is self priming. In a moist area use Zinnser

I have an old white refrigerator that works fine, just looks awful. What can I do to the face to make it look nice. I have wooden oak kitchen cabinets and a tile floor.

Paint it with white enamel.
Enamel Paint finishes in high gloss if you want that sort of finish.
Always paint in a dust free invironment with plenty of ventiallation.
With the expensive cost of many home appliances, sometimes replacing an old refrigerator is out of the question, especially if it still works well.
This can be a problem if you've recently painted your kitchen or if you're just sick of looking at an old, outdated fridge.
Instead of learning to live with your boring or unattractive refrigerator, you can give it a bright new look with a few coats of paint.
Mix a few tablespoons of vinegar into a bucket of warm soapy water.
Use this mixture to clean the refrigerator.
Scrub away any grease, dirt or other grime with your soapy water and a stiff bristled scrub brush. Wipe the refrigerator dry with a towel when it is clean.

Use painter's tape to cover parts of the refrigerator you do not want to paint such as the handle or the grate at the bottom of the refrigerator.

Apply a coat of appliance paint to your refrigerator with a paint roller to prime the surface.
You can also purchase appliance paint in a spray can and use it to spray paint your refrigerator.

Sand the paint with an extra fine grit sanding sponge when it is completely dry.
Try to make the surface as smooth as possible and then wipe away any dust created with a clean towel.

Paint the refrigerator with an enamel paint tinted to the desired color and a paint roller.
You can use oil-based or latex-based enamel depending on your preferences.
Oil paints usually have a stronger odor than latex paints but they may last longer.

Apply a second coat of paint when the first coat is completely dry.

Sand the final coat of paint when it is dry with a wet extra fine sanding sponge.
Spray the refrigerator with water while you work to keep it damp and keep sanding until the paint is smooth and shiny.

Remove all of the painter's tape from your painted refrigerator.

Landlord painted kitchen sing with enamel sink paint and now it is chipping off and looks terrible. How can it be fixed?

Jan 2013
Remove paint with stripper maybe, otherwise Replace sink is only solution.
The etching and paint process for applying coatings to sinks and tubs is temporary fix, and will only last a year or two.
Report problem to landlord since he may have gotten a warranty on paint product, but don't wait for a magic cure to appear, because this is not magic, it's a failed paint job and paint has to be removed or sink replaced.

Where do I find high temp paint to use on a gas stove?

Auto parts stores have manifold and engine paints for high temp use, or the hardware store has barbecue and wood stove paints, usually black. Your stove may have been enameled (Melted glass powder process, like ovens, old sinks and bathtubs).
