Neary 50% of the keys in my amilo pro notebook aren't working. can you please guide me on what could be the reason for some keys to malfunction and how to rectify it.
This generally happens in all notebook keyboards. The life of these keyboards are very short. I once had a Dell system which gave me the same problem. For that I removed the laptop case and reached its main board. In the main board, there will be a cable which connects the keyboard component to the mother board. It will be a thin ver very flimsy flat transparent cable which goes into a kind of slot of the main board. Remove the cable and reinsert again firmly. This may solve the problem. If not, then the keys of the keyboard would hav lost its life in such case you have to go for a new keyboard component from the manufacturer.
