If you are handy enough to take the back off the set, look at the caps (capacitors) on the main board, I had 4 popped on my samsung with a similar problem. $4 repair.

Easy fix for new Samsung TV switching on and off power cycling.... My tv turns on and off by itself the ...
With out knowing exact model # I would believe you have a bad main board. This could be replaced but for the cost of the board verses cost of the tv, when you purchassed it, would make the tv not economely practical to repair. Maybe the board is not avaliable to replace also
First the main bd controls the "Turn on" sequences". When you press the Power on button the Main bd sends a "Turn on" signal to the Power supply. The clicking you hear is the Power on relay ativating. If the tv does not turn on and the relay keeps clicking then you might have a bad Main bd or there is s shorted board somewhere else in the set. The Power supply can also be bad. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.
Maybe try removing the dust filter on the back and cleaning it. If I recall correctly the TV won't turn on unless the filter is clean and fully snapped back into position.
