Sound fluxuates,crackling sound
If the sound FLUCTUATES up & down, try turning off the AutoVolume in the sound menu.
You didn't say if it's one or all speakers crackling.
Crackling is either a speaker or circuitry issue. Adjust the balance away from the speaker that crackles, if it stops, that speaker is probably "fried". If it still crackles, I'd turn off the speakers and run the sound thru a stereo for the quick, cheap fix.
My Samsung (10+ years old to be fair) crackles due to a circuit issue but if I SMACK the left side speaker (behind which is the sound board and side panel connectors) it stops for a while. Maddening. I think I broke it squeezing it into the furniture it's in, pressing on the protruding RCA plugs. Dumb design.

No picture but sound is good
Check its horizontal output and horizontal oscillator section circuit inside. Actually, this is a skilled work. It will be best for you to contact any experienced service technician, if you are not so sound in electronics..

Have to turn tv on for a minute then off and on again in order to work
Thisis a fault solution which can be checked and corrected by you assuming thatthere is no component failure. There is a high possibility that the componentsover a period of heating and cooling, tend to bring on a problem of drysoldering. So my advice is to check the set for some loose joints that haveplayed on to give you these erratic shut downs or poor performance. The bestway to check for loose connections is to tap lightly when the set is poweredon, if there is change while tapping then it seems that there are DRY solderjoints. Remove main plug, the covers - with caution of high voltage, check fordry joints, and use a good soldering iron to solder all suspected points. Sometimesthe fault occurs when the set warms up; if so you can simulate the heat using ahair dryer on the suspected areas, try with the power supply, distribution,Processor controller, driver controllers on the A/V related sections. Also theuse a FREEZE-IT spray can simulate the components to cool and show up thefault. It can also be related to WEAK ELECTROLYTIC capacitors as the value canreduce in time. Based on the above method you must be able to locate the areaof fault and solder the sections. Sometimes large IC's- ones with more pins-tend to have drying in some pins and so cause faults related to the IC'sprotocol. Have a rough idea of looking into the areas to reduce the time ofprobing.

My SlimFit actually has two
1) there are discharges in the final video board (the board that is plugged in the tube) when the voltage raises on the acceleration grill of the tube. The tv must be opened (wait an hour with it unplugged from the mains before that) and the static protectors on the video board must be cleaned of dust and slightly enlarged - use a flat screwdriver, gently push it in them.
2) the Closed Caption / subtitles are active. Press the CC button on the remote to disable them.

After a power failure the set will not turn on.
Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be
able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part
inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty,
this will cost you nothing. If you're not under warranty the cost
will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor. However, be warned
that the cost could be considerably higher. You should call the
manufacturer for your full range of options.

Power Shutdown automatically after using more than
Try resetting your TV to original specs(Use menu reset as instructed by your TV manual) If doesn't work, try using a stablilizer, if it doesn't work then try another wall socket, If not then you have a loose soldering issue with your power IC socket induced by rough handling of your power cables.
