I suggest you Google the Internet for a replacement battery for your model laptop. You will get various suppliers and prices.

SOURCE: My Compaq Presario C500T lap top won't start

Generally speaking, an orange power light indicates problems with the power. You also described to a "T" how a bad battery behaves. To test this theory, take out the battery and plug in the laptop. It should power up and run. If so, it's time to invest in a new battery.
To be doubly sure, if you have anyone with the same laptop as yourself, plug in their battery to your laptop. It should work if their battery is good.

if you say that either the battery nor the adapter was tested and seemed working fine but not actually giving power to the laptop itself then the problem is the motherboard from your laptop i m afraid

SOURCE: Battery not charging; what's the price for a new HP Pavillion dv6000 battery in new delhi?

hi there, if you need to replace the battery hun, the best places to check would be the internet on ebay possibly, or lookup laptop batteries with your model number, most places will not have a problem shipping to you, and usually have a single charge or a 1 time shipping charge no matter how much you buy, it is just a matter of comparing rates and if you want a warrenty, and try hp website, that will be good if your unsure about where to go, cuz if anything happens durring shipping the companay will replace it, another thing you can check is hp websites to find a legite representative for the company....thats about all i can help you with.....good luck hun and hope this helps you....shia

Your power connector on the laptop has been bumped too many times and the solder connection has worked it's way loose.. somewhat of a common annoyance. Find a good TV Repair shop, maybe a reputable PC repair shop and tell them to please resolder ( better to replace, but could cause rejection if they don't have a source for micro parts ) the connector back onto the motherboard.. could cost you $100 because of what it takes to access the location for a 1 minute solder job.. sad but true, sometimes, EVERYTHING in the laptop has to be removed to solder the connectors on the bottom side of the motherboard, sometimes you can get lucky with bottom side access. Get someone experienced in circuitboard soldering techniques. A hobbist will burn up more than what they are attempting to fix.

SOURCE: battery meter is low, even though computer is always plugged in

My first reaction would be that you have simply worn the battery out already and it can no longer hold a charge. Discharging and re-charging constantly will do that even in a year. Or leaving it plugged in 24/7 for week at a time can hurt it as well.

Sometimes if you run it all the way down to nothing/as dead as possible and then charge it back up it will "re-train" the battery where dead and fully charged are.

In the case of this battery it sounds like it's just worn out. Sometimes turning off extra features like bluetooth if it has it or the WiFI card along with dimming the screen when possible will get a few more minutes out of it.

I'm going through something similar with my laptop right now. I found a "universal laptop battery" and just carry that around now (amazon is a good place for such batteries). It was only about $30 or so. Sorry it's not good news!

I upgrade my lap top which was on vista pro to win 7 ultimate and some of my my device don't work properly like the webcam, the audio speaker...

Install DriverMax 6.41.0.363 or driveridentifier http://www.driveridentifier.com/desktop.php
and drivers choose to present it requires inscription on site.

I had the same problem but once I installed these two could find the drivers it needed. You can also go to the asus website and search for the model name of your laptop.

I have another problem: after install win7, the batery not charge.
I bought the laptop with Vista, but I installed XP, now installed Windows 7, everything is working perfectly but not charge the battery, I've tried everything: calibration, tested various power plans, I ended up buying a new battery but no result . I think it must be some kind of driver or change something in the BIOS that I lack despite having returned to install XP and Vista and battery re-charging without problem. if you can help me send email [email protected]
good luck

My aspire 5100 wont hold charge without charger

If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

My laptop overheating and screen turns off then shut down, also the battery dont last more than ten minutes

Hi:
HP Pavillion has the tendency to get hot while in use, I don't think there is nothing wrong with it, You can buy one of those pads with fans if you want to, but that is not a guarantee that will increase the battery function time. You can do the following to replenish the battery and increase it's life...Without turning on your computer charge the battery until the green light comes on, then disconnect the charger and turn on your computer and let the computer on until the battery ran out of juice, ( During this period Do Not use your Computer). Then charge the lap top again without turning it on when the green light comes on, you can use the lap top. If this action does not increase the your battery use time, then it's time to buy another battery.

The laptop doesn't charge and cannot work without the battery. when the battery is inserted, it indicates'plugged in not charging'

Most laptops will work without a battery as the house current is converted to usable voltage for the lap top as well as to charge the battery.

The battery is not charging because the voltage level has fallen below a safe level to recharge. Li-ion batteries have a safety feature built into them. A small chip is wired into the battery to tell the power supplly on the lap top that it is OK to charge the battery. If Li-ion batteries internal charge fall below a certain level, that chip signals the charger not to try to charge the battery as it would demand a higher charge rate and raise the battery temperature and cause a fire, so it in effect says don't do it. If the battery charge falls further, then that chip locks out the battery and shuts down your computer.

One thing you can try, put the battery in your freezer for about an hour, and then put it back in your machine and see if it will come back to life. Do not let the battery freeze, just an hour will do. You may want to try this a couple of times, but your batter is at it's life end.

The charging light is blinking orange and blue, but is not charging.. what does that mean?

Since most newer lap tops and note books use Li-ion batteries, they (the BatteryPack) have a built in chip to keep the charger from over charging a depleted battery, one that has locked itself from being charged. This is a safety feature to prevent a fire from a hot battery that may be overcharged. This feature locks the battery when the internal resistance gets too high and the battery pack falls below 3 volts per cell.

Try this for laughs, take the battery out of the lap top and put it in your freezer for about an hour and then place it back in your machine and see if it will begin to charge. This works sometimes as the cold slows the charging down to where the battery may recover. However, it will still be a low use battery as over time they loose the ability to be recharged to a full 100%

The worst is that you may have to buy another battery. If you do avoid buying used batteries as some one else is trying to sell you their problem.
