Check the tv menu settings...go to where you set the date and time etc... usually in the general section.. Look for timer or timers...turn off sleep timer, turn off power on timer and turn off power off timer...cheers

BE absolutely sure the batteries are good. This is what usually causes this symptom, even it the 'battery indicator' isn't asking for a new battery. It happens a lot on systems that are being turned off with the breaker, safety or service switch; DON'T do that. When you put a set of brand new alkaline or lithium batteries, with the thermostat off the wall, leave NO batteries in it for about an hour. Be sure that the power is on 24/7 to the system. To stop the system from running, always use the "Heat--Off--Cool" switch.
Take out the battery like about an hour.Put battery back.The remote now is resetting itself.Should work again now.Not,than the remote control CPU is shorted and the remote is dead.Try website like Remotes.com to buy a new remote same as the original remote.
First try turning the TV on from the Power button the set itself (assuming it has one).
If not, unplug the TV from the wall, wait a half hour, then plug it back in. It should come back on.
Also check that none of the buttons on the remote are stuck down, and that the batteries in the remote are OK. The toy might've stuck a repeating button down (like volume) which may have then drained the remote's batteries.
Sounds like you either have a bad solder connection heating up and becoming an open circuit or a capacitor that is going bad as it heats up. Either way, you'll probably need a tech to properly troubleshoot it.
