SOURCE: hi I've this asus EEE

All the disks in the older models are solid state - like a memory card. Because of that some of the older 700 series have them soldered on the motherboard and they cannot be removed. All the others are a plug-in system: you can replace them but they will be extremely expensive.

Replacing harddrive Asus Eee PC 1225B-SU17-BK

Please make sure to turn off your unit first, make sure it is unplugged and remove the battery. If you have a screw driver try and find the harddrive bay and remove the cover. You should be able to find your harddrive now but remove it from its place carefully. You know that if you remove your harddrive you have to reinstall your OS and I'm guessing you knew.

I have a asus Eee pc notebook, when i turn it on the message REBOOT AND SELECT PROPER BOOT DEVICE appears how do i do that?

check if there is any fashdrive or memory card plugged in. if it shows that message it might mean your pc cant detect a bootable harddrive. was it working before? was it dropped or bumped maybe the harddrive got loose. at the bootup screen do you see your harddrive? if your pc can still detect your harddrive try installing a fresh copy or your operating system. hope this helps.

I have had this netbook (asus: 1005H) for 8 months. Everything worked fine, but now the function keys won't respond? Anything I can do? Danny Doss

Within this link is the documentation for your laptop:
http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=Ues16Gw2OcqSjUNt
You might need to scroll down to find the English version, and then download it from one of the links.

It's possible that there's a function key turn on/off key (or sequence of keys) that might have been pressed. This turned off the functions keys so they're acting as different keys. If your function keys have multiple symbols on them, then they can act as different keys when in this different mode. You need to switch back to the 'function key' mode. Check out the documentation and see if there's something like this.

If this has helped please remember to give me the appropriate 'thumbs up' feedback. Thanks, and good luck!

Is it possible to up grade a asus eee fizz book

Yes it is possible to upgrade the ram and the harddrive, there will be little blanking plates on the back of the laptop, they are held in by small screws, undo the screws and you will have access to the memory and the harddrive. If you are unsure take it to a pc store and ask if they could find out what type of memory and harddrive is needed to upgrade. hope this helps.

Frozen eee pc 901

I would guarantee 98% that its your harddrive. I had a similar problem w/ one of my older computers. I installed a new harddrive and that fixed the problem.. Stay away from seagate hds, they are junk.

the harddrive is the problem. 4 GB's is a small drive, most programs need space for performance. think about an other larger harddrive.
