Which modes are you trying to use this Sitecom? If you have the Sitecom as your Access Point (AP Mode), then you would need a LAN connection to your internet gateway (DSL, Cable Modem, etc). I didn't see any LAN hook up so I assume you are trying to use it as a wireless repeater. So you need to configure the unit differently. The 3rd mode is called Bridge mode. Again, you need to have a LAN hook up to your local network with a router or network switch.
Because your Tablet is connecting to the Sitecom okay, which mean that you either have the Sitecom setting for AP mode or Bridge mode. And the reason it didn't give you access to internet because there is no internet gateway connection to the Sitecom (LAN). I hope this answer your question (or confuse you totally).

SOURCE: belkin wireless router

Hi,

Your Belkin router is normally configured to get a dynamic IP Add from your Internet provider unless otherwise configured. Most ISP's network where clients/subscribers connect (through DSL) has a DHCP server that hands out this IP adds. If your router keeps on changing its WAN IP add, it may presumably be because:
1. Your router keeps on rebooting or powering on/off and everytime it turns on, it is given a new IP add;
2. Your ISP's DHCP server keeps on renewing its lease on the IP add given to your router.

Corrective measures would entail:
a. Do a full hard reset of your router and go through the installation setup again. Of course this would revert all settings/configuration to factory default; and/or
b. Contact your ISP and explain your concern.

In some cases, the router's MAC address has an issue that the ISP's DHCP is keeping a hard time recognizing it. this can be corrected with a firmware update.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things tunrs up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kin regards.

SOURCE: sitecom WL-330 range extender with dlink dir-615- unable to use

I am guessing you have XP or vista. here are the instructions for both.
XP 1. Click ‘Start’ button (it should be located at lower-left corner of your computer), then click control panel. Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections icon, double click Local Area Connection, and Local Area Connection Properties window will appear. Select ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’, then click ‘Properties’ 2. Select ‘Use the following IP address’, then input the following settings in respective field: IP address: 192.168.0.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Click ‘OK’ when finish.
Vista 1. Click the ‘Start’ button (it should be located at lower-left corner of your computer), then click control panel. Click View Network Status and Tasks, then click Manage Network Connections. Right-click Local Area Network, then select ‘Properties’. The Local Area Connection Properties window will appear, select ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)’, and then click ‘Properties’ 2. Select ‘Use the following IP address’, then input the following settings in respective field: IP address: 192.168.0.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Click ‘OK’ when finish.
Next step for both All functions and settings of this access point must be configured via the web management interface. Please start your web browser, and input ‘192.168.0.234’ in the address bar, and press the ‘Enter’ key. The following dialog should be shown: Please input user name and password in the field respectively. The default user name is ‘admin’, and the default password is ‘admin’. Press the ‘OK’ button to see the web management interface of this access point: NOTE: If you can’t see the web management interface, and you’re being prompted to input user name and password again, it means you didn’t input username and password correctly. Please retype user name and password again. After you connected to the access point by web browser, the first thing you see is ‘Status and Information’ page. All system and network related information of this access point will be displayed here. The information is very helpful when you want to know the detailed information of your access point, and when you try to fix the communication problem between this access point and other wired / wireless computer / devices. You can click ‘Home’ on the left, This access point can be operated in different modes; you can click ‘Basic Setting’ to select an operating mode you want to meet for different needs: You can click ‘Mode’ dropdown menu to select operating mode, and there are 3 operating modes available: AP Access point mode, allows wireless clients to connect to access point and exchange data with the devices connected to the wired network. Station- Infrastructure Enable the Ethernet device such us TV and Game player connected to the access point to a wireless client. Universal Repeater This product can act as a wireless range extender that will help you to extend the networking wirelessly. The access point can act as Station and AP at the same time. It can use Station function to connect to a Root AP and use AP function to service all wireless clients within its coverage. You can hopefully figure it out from there.

SOURCE: Need to change IP address for Actiontec router for verizon fios

definately you will need to change the IP address.
But you can also change the IP address of the wireless extender.
so instead of changing the IP address of the router, you can change the IP address of the extender.
For that you will need to connect the computer to the Extender.
assign a static IP to the computer 192.168.0.10 and Default gateway 192.168.0.30. that will open the set up page of the extender.
change the IP addres of the extender to 192.168.1.30.
that will help you.

I cannot switch off the DHCP in the WL330 sitecom

You can find the user manual here: http://www.sitecom.com/wireless-range-extender-300n/p/714. I don't know your specific software, but on mine you have to click on every page to save changes. If you make all changes then save it will not save all changes.

My Sitecom 300N repeater resularly loses its connection to my BT homehub. I think this is when the H homehub goes down sometimes. Resetting the Sitecom from scratch is a pain but resolves the problem. 3...

I also had this problem when the BTHomeHub goes down, power loss etc. I seem to have fixed the problem by changing the wireless config in the homehub to use a fixed channel, (the default is automatic which means it changes each time it restarts). This has been running trouble free for a couple of weeks through a number of power outages.

Can't help with Qs 2&3, get the same problems but less of an issue now that the thing works all the time.

Wireless extender

OK.
It's pretty easy:
1) turn on both devices
2) connect to sitecom device.
- you may have to manually set your IP address. (from network resources control panel, TCP/IP tab. Check the istructions, cause you have to choose an address in the same subnet of the sitecom range extender. I mean, the first three numbers must be the same, and the last number of the address must be different, between 3 and 255).
- now you can type the sitecom address into the address bar of your browser (allow pop ups from that address!). The defaut user name is admin, as well the default password.
3) Ok, now you're connected and you just have to set this way in the basic settings:
working mode: universal repeater
now click on site survey and remember the ssid of your main network, and the channel number.
channel: type the channel number of your network (IT MAY CHANGE WHEN YOU TURN OFF\ON THE ROUTER!! so you'll have to change it maybe every day..... **** sitecom device, I HATE IT)
ssid: the ssid of your main network.
4) click apply.
Of course if your WLAN is protected you must set the rigth password and encription algorithm...

Now it should work.. but remember, everyday you will have to change the channel, and sometimes ou will have to reset it, from he toolbo tab.

IT,S BETTER NOT TO BUY THIS DEVICE, cause even the latest firmware is not working properly.

Having Problem Acquiring IP Address

when using the range extender you have to make sure you set the SSID, channel & wireless key in the range extender the exact same as the router also it has to be in the same IP range so if the router IP address is 192.168.0.1 the range extender IP address has to change from 192.168.1.240 to 19.168.0.240. Hope that helps.
