When the antenna winds all the way up grab it and try and pull it up as far as you can get a bit of oil/grease or lubricant and run it along the antenna to help it run smoothly, this wont fix your problem but it will reduce the amount of clicks it does and may help realign the antenna as the clicks are the motor still trying to pull it down because it thinks its still up. the antennas do this because they may have a kink or bend in it, most cases you need to replace the antenna, can get one for under $50 get a generic one as its cheaper and does the same thing.

2002 Oldsmobile bravada x going through batteries AutoZone everybody says there's nothing wrong with it in the radio you can touch any electrical control throughout the car you can even touch the gear...

Good advice from Ray but I recommend you check the aerial ground at the lead end - this also checks the cable, check also for continuity between the mast and the aerial plug centre.

If a signal preamplifier is fitted, which is often the case when a short antenna or window antenna is fitted, the antenna lead will connect to the preamp and similar check will have to be performed on the screened lead from the preamp to the radio. Check also the supply and ground to the preamp if fitted.

It is also important the radio has a reliable ground so it isn't trying to draw current down the antenna or aerial ground. Sometimes in order to keep the signal-to-noise ratio to a minimum, it is necessary to fit a braided ground strap to the case of the radio.

Ihavea magna 4cylinder 2.4ltr n it has a severe vibration as soon as I start my car Vibrates when i reverse. And drive forward but calms down a lil when I go 60km n when I slow down it really bad again

Sounds like a broken flywheel Rotate the engine back and forth and listen for a click when you rotate the engine back and forth with the engine off. If it continues see if you can take the flywheel inspection cover off and shine a light up toward the center bolts and look for a crack.

Antenna motor runs while the radio is on or off. The antenna is stuck in the extended position. When the car is shut off the antenna motor continues to run to retract the antenna, but it doesn't go

You need to pull the fuse for the antenna or just unplug it. It has a fairly ridgid plastic wire that pushes the antenna up and down. Works fine until the wire breaks then it rolls up (antenna down) but it never increases resistance because the antenna never comes down , it's like a fishing reel when the lure breaks off, so the motor thinks that the antenna is still coming down and it will run and run and run trying to do it's job. Your lucky it stuck up and not down. If you want your antenna to go up and down again you'll have to buy and install a new one.

Power antenna does not go all the way up, does not power retract

Does the motor continue to run even though the mast doesn't retract? Is there a loud 'click - click - click" as it tries to retract and extend or more of a chattering noise? Did you clean and lubricate the spool into which the toothed belt goes when the antenna retracts? Use an all weather grease (white lithium). Did you clean the teeth on the gear that drives the belt? There is a small metal guide where the belt meets the drive gear, sometime this wears and allows the belt to slip on the gear. Pull the giude straight out, then rotate it 180 degress and reinstall.
