First delete all contact from your sim. Copy all contacts from your Phone book of samsung into card card. now your sim card have all contacts of your samsung phone contact list. Put sim into your new mobile Sony Ericson and copy all those contact from sim into phone contact list.you will be doing this by go to copy SIM contact into Phone Book option in your Sony Ericson.
This can also happens: When you put sim in ericson and switch on the cell it will ask you to copy contact from sim to phone memory.here you can press YES and all contacts get copied in phone

You can use this format Once you have received your Sony Ericsson W910i unlocking code, it is very simple to enter it:

1. Remove the SIM card. Turn your handset ON
   
2. PRESS the left arrow ONE TIME
   
3. PRESS the * button TWO TIMES
   
4. PRESS the left arrow ONE TIME
   
5. The message "Personalize with MNC2" will appear
   
6. You may now enter the Unlocking Code we sent to you. It may be necessary to PRESS ENTER or OK

pls check that with the another handset still your facing the same problem pls check the sim card with the service provider

Some of the Sony Ericson phones have a little slider that slides back over the SIM card. This slider takes a bit of force, but be careful. Hold down the SIM and slide the retainer over the edge if the SIM.

same as our problem mine too,operation failed and then when i trying to open the inbox ,drafts ,sendt items,it's say operation failed,,my phone its totally broken? k850i sony ericson my phone unit. help me pls!!

maybe you don't have any games installed? or it was deleted, try resetting your phone to factory settings or default

i got sony ericsson w580i. i can't operate my mobile as on screen shows "configuration error. pls. contact your network operator or service centre" i did contact my network operator but confirmed that my sim is in usual working state. i can only listen to call but i cant go to main menu,neither i can listen to song. even i cant able to make call. pleasehelp me
