There is a website called onesharpstore.com that specializes in food processing appliance parts. I saw the hobart model 1812 listed there just today (03/07/09). They even have a number you can call direct. 772-770-4383.

There are several possible causes:1. The blades of the beater/s may be distorted (bent) 2. The beaters are in the wrong way round 3. The bottom tray is not seated down properly - there may be something in the central hole 4. The bowl may be damaged

You need to take the old grease out and replace it with new and then replace the oil seal

Hi. If the motor does not turn, the problem is electrical. Trace and test the electrical circuitry with the mixer unplugged. Start with the electrical plug and work your way through to the motor and switch connections. Hobart A-200 First Gear is Having Trouble

If the mixers are older the dive key shaft,spring or key are broken,if they are newer the key is sheared.Also check the nuts near the beater shaft and make sure there not too tight.

goto this site http://www.hobartcorp.com/default.aspx. you will find a parts list/view. before ordering any parts i would call your local hobart branch because the part numbers have changed.make sure you have the ml number or spec number found on the data plate before hand so youll get the right part numbers.any questions let me know,i repair alot of these mixers im a hobart service tech.
