Usualy there is a rubber ring araound the bottom of the blade. If it gets worn out or out of posistion it may start to leak. Also if you dont have everything screwed in tight enought it could leak as well

My pitcher is stuck to the base and will not release. How do I get them apart?

You don't say what is making them stick together or what you've tried to do. Gentle heat is usually helpful and sometimes hot water can dissolve the "glue" that's causing the problem. If the pitcher is used for sweetened drinks or if it is a small pitcher used for milk or cream, the hot water can do the trick.

The bearing and seal are not replaceable. The bearing is sonically welded into thte base of the jar. The K-Tec is made by Blend-Tec, and any of the Blend-Tec jars will work as a direct replacement.

My K-Tec Champ HP3 is overloading and shutting off after about 5 seconds even with the jar empty or not even on the machine. It just starts up and shuts off (displaying "OVERLOAD" on the...

Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the base, release the 4 clips on each side and remove the bottom cover.
There is a fan blade attached to the bottom of the motor and a sensor on the side of it that senses the fan blade turning. If the sensor does not sense the fan blade turning, it assumes that the motor is locked up or 'overloaded'.
Check that the fan blade has not come loose from the motor shaft and reattach if necessary. Verify that the sensor is secure in it's housing next to the fan blade.
Reinstall the base cover and verify operation.

That burning smell is kind of a death sentence. At least a switch or more likely coils are burnt out.
