You need the audio driver. You didn't supply the Make, Model of laptop or the OS you are using. So, Try this first, remove all Media,DVD, CD, USB, etc. Shut down , unplug, remove battery, plug in, reboot. Depending on your OS, it should ID the device and apply the correct driver. OR, do a system restore to a date before this issue. OR, Post the info about laptop and I will try to locate the driver for you
Download the drivers from the computer maker's website or do a Google search for the audio drivers for your pc make and model. Most computer makers offer free download of the drivers.
What I
could recon from your question is that your audio driver is not installed
in your PC.
Please be
informed that any Driver software depends upon the PC make, Motherboard type
and Operating System. You need to know all the three information's to do get
going.
Please find the Driver software's of your Audio and video inside the
installation disk provided with the PC at the time of purchase. As you have not
mentioned your PC make I am unable to give you the direct download link. However
you can download the same by visiting the website of the company that
manufactured the PC.
Even here
you need to be careful to download the correct software for your PC. You need
to be exact with the PC make and Model number and the OS that you are using.
To install
just Double clock on the driver setup.exe file and go on clicking 'Next' until
you get the 'Finish' option and restart the PC.
If you feel that my answers have helped you getting
solution to your problems then please give a vote.
Thanks.
