Nokia 6265i only play the nokia and telus welcome and hung
I have the Nokia 6265i for over a year. I left the phone on until the battary is off. After charging the phone would not start normal. It only play the nokia and telus welcome message and freeze from there. Keep turning it off and on would not fix it. Tried the green/*/3 and turn on combination wanting to format the os, no luck. Any suggestion?
Well, i have read other forum and have tried the following:
Charge the battery to full > turn on and wait for the welcome screen and then turn white > enter #7370#

To update(flash) your phone, best and easy way is with Nokia Software Update(NSU),you
must use Nokia Ovi Suite to back up your from your phone,it's really
easy to use it.after you install the programs connect the phone to to
your computer via usb(use PC suite connection),back up your phone with
Ovi,then close the program,open NSS and update(flash) your phone.Very
important:Your phone must be fully charged and must not be disconnected
after the update(flash) has began until is finished, else your phone will not
startup. Here are the two programs: http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update
Go to the site http://unlockme.co.uk and enter your phone’s IMIE number and press Enter then u’ll get the master code of your phone. 2. This master code can be used as lock code when we are asked for the security code. 3.But always we can’t remember master code and we want to use an easier lock-code then we can set a new security code of our own wish by giving the Master-code as our old security code when asked for old code while resetting security code. e.g.NOKIA 6600 Tools -> Settings ->(scroll down) security -> Phone and SIM ->(scroll down) Lock Code Then it asks for old code where u can type the master code and then set the new code as you wish. When during formatting u are asked for lock code you can also enter Master code. To get IMIE of your phone type *#06# on screen of your phones.
Try installing a theme or use the default theme. Oxycube works with this model of Nokia for uploading and downloading files such as themes etc. To use it U need a data cable and the correct usb drivers. These phones have problems if they do not have enough memory and also problems if the video is set to max.Howard forums has some info on them.
The default security code is simply 12345 and should work unless changed by your friend or MetroPCS. Hope this helps, if not, you may have to hard reset the phone. I will not explain how, but you can google it easy enough. Good Luck!!
I've had the exact same problem with my nokia 6265i for almost a year now. I bought mine at Future Shop, so their express exchange program has now sent me my fourth nokia of the same model because I've had the same issue with every single phone. Clearly there is an issue with this model. If you bought it from Telus they may have a different program when the phone is still under warranty. If it's not, then Telus gave me two options. 1) get $100 off of a new phone (at non-contract p[rice) and renew your 3 year contract with Telus. (oh goody!) or 2) They are offering a samsung phone.. can't remember the model, you can phone them. But they are offering that for $80.00. In other words.. the phone is useless, and you will still end up forking out money either way. Telus will not make up for this. They told me to contact Nokia about the phone. I don't know how that could possibly help my situation. I'm done dealing with them until next month when the Nokia breaks down again.
I have the same issue. As I can tell by the number of posts, this is obviously a common problem. I am surprised that the manufacturer does not accept any responsibility
