hi there check that the pci slot is nice and clean then make sure the card is inserted fully, and restart your machine, if the problem still persists try and get the most up to date driver for the card from belkin's website copy following link and paste in your address box http://modem.free-driver-download.com/D-Link/14620/D-link-DFM-562IS-Modem-Driver-Windows-XP.html and install it restart the computer if the problem is still there it's 100% faulty modem card and it needs replacing. hope this helps. regards
