This is actually for my laptop model asus a9 serise . same basic problem though. "Display driver R300 has stopped working and successfully recovered." how would i fix this??
R300 driver has stopped working, but has recovered. Happens each time I maximize a video.

try reinstalling media player 11 and then install K-lite codec from http://filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/
and still if the problem presist install VLC player its an subsitute to windows mediaplayer.

As soon as you see that message again go to System Restore and make a restore point and then you exit or close the System restore. Then try to restart the computer...
