I have smasung digimax 4010, I have a 4gb memory card and when I put it in, the light flashes continuously and the Samsung logo is on the screen but thats all. What do I need to do???

You need to get an SD card. The 4010 works with SD and MMC cards. Your 4GB card is an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot it's electronically incompatible and will not work in the 4010. You need an SD card, 2GB and smaller.

Formatted a 2gb memory card for my Samsung Digimax 4010 camera & when i insert it into the camera & turn it on, it reads "card error".

From your description, it sounds like you're formatting the card in your computer and then inserting it into your camera. Camera cards must be formatted in the camera only.

I have a digimax 4010. Do I get a 2mg sd card? What is the diference between a sd card and a sdhc

SDHC is an extension of the SD standard that extends the capacity from 2GB to 32GB. It's backward compatible in that devices designed for SDHC cards will also work with SD cards. It does not go the other way---that is, SDHC cards will not work in devices designed for SD cards.

I presume you mean a 2GB card, since a 2MB card might hold one picture.
The Digimax 4010 works with SD cards, not SDHC cards. You may use an SD card. Just make sure it is an SD card, 2GB and smaller. SDHC cards start at 4GB and go up to 32GB but, as stated earlier, will not work in the 4010.

Hi,just bought a 4gb sd card for my digimax s600 but it won,t work.when i switch on camera, screen says..format..yes.confirm ok.when i do this i get check sd card . i put in old card it works fine??..

Does your camera support SD HC? Anything above a 2gb SD card is concider a HC; so if your camera can't support HC format then you can not use that card.

New memory card issue

To rule out a faulty card, format it in the PC using a card reader.
