Computer keeps trying to install WordPerfect Office 12

I deleted Corel Pro Paint Program from my pc. Now, every time I open my pc, it says that its configuring to install WordPerfect Office 12. It finally says that I need to insert a disc with the Program. I have to keep closing the program that says it is trying to install it. After 6-8 times, it quits. I get error message 1706. I contacted Corel but got no help.

That's exactly the same problem I have now when I start up my PC.

Deleting a program rather than uninstalling it leaves the program in an unpredictable state. Use the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features to uninstall the program and see whether that solves it. Failing that, you may have to go into the directory the program was installed in and delete all traces. The other option is to restore the program from the Recycle bin, then uninstall it.sh

It may be in your programs that you need to uninstall WordPerfect Office 12. It just seems like something is partially installed and wants to complete.

Deleting a program rather than uninstalling it leaves the program in an unpredictable state.
Use the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features (depending on your Windows version) to uninstall the program and see whether that solves it.
Failing that, you may have to go into the directory the program was installed in and delete all traces there and in all other directories on the program drive - Programs, Users etc.
The other option is to restore the program from the Recycle bin, then uninstall it.
And last option I can think of is re-install then uninstall.
Good luck.

When I try and insert a photograph, Word Perfect locks and I have to reboot. The photo is in JPG format. What am I doing wrong. I have WP Office 12 Home Edition. Advice please.

Can you open the image in Paint? Then save it back to the disk with a new name. Then try to insert it into WordPerfect. If you can at least see it on the screen , then you can prt-screen it, paste it into Paint and save it. Then insert into WP.

go to the corel support site and Windows and look for software updates that deal with this issue, most likely there are patches to correct this, use Corel support 1st.

Friends computer tries to re-configure WordPerfect Office 12 on every boot. Keeps trying to find the installation disk & re- install. After cancelling many times the program runs fine, but very...

What I would advise you to do is to open the control panel and go to "Add or remove programs" for windows xp and "Programs and Features" in Windows Vista. Locate Microsoft Word Perfect and click on it. Click on "change" The next option, put a dot on the "Repair installation errors in this program...." If it asks you for the disk again. Change the path of installation file to c:\windows\system32 Hope this helps!

Wordperfect crashed in the middle of working on a document

Find the WP directory and locate the backup file. Copy it to somewhere else.

The directory will be something like WordPerfect\12\Backup with various other directories on the front of that such as c:\program files\ etc.

Open the copy and see how much of the original is present.
