I can only take 3 pictures on internal memory and then it says it is full.
I have read the manual and it say to toggle to find format, I haven't been able to do that. Where is it at?

Brenda, Although I only have a little to go on, I'll give it a try.
(only brand, not model)
Olympus camera's do have an internal memory, but just for a limited amount of pictures. When your camera says Memory full, this internal memory is full. You can place a memory card, or free memory, by deleting pictures. But don't delete a picture before you are sure you saved the picture on the computer or some other media.
If you want a memory card, check what type of card goes into your camera. When you place a memory card in the camera it has to be formatted (check the manual) but NEVER format a memory card, when you have any pictures in the internal memory, because you could loose all the pictures in the internal memory too.
FRIST, download the 83 pics u have and save them. your camera may be reading the internal memory. go to setup and change to sd card option. If that doesn't do it, and it's already looking at the SD card. Format the card. NOTE: see first line again!!!
Your camera won't write to the memory card until you get rid of the pics in the internal memory. Download any you want to save. Then, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. You should be ok after that. Promise yourself you will never use the internal memory again.
Yes, you need to have memory stick because camera has limited internal memory that can store few pictures only. Put new memory card, format it through camera Menu and copy internal memory pictures to memory stick, take our memory card from camera and delete internal memory pictures either one by one or format internal memory through camera Menu. Thanks.
If there are no pictures in the internal memory that you want to save, then remove your memory card, go into the menu and scroll to "format" and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you indeed have the pictures on your computer (and are safely stored)... you might try selecting the format memory card function in the camera, to reformat the card, in case it was somehow corrupted while connected to the computer.
I think you have set the "image storage" to internal. If you take a picture the memory reading should go down one shot-if it doesnt it is because your photos are on the internal memory instead of on auto or memory card. If you take out the card then try to view the pictures hopefully you will now see them. Eventually if this is the problem you will get a notice telling you that "internal memory is now full£.
