SOURCE: Hello, I have a Bushnell sportsman 3x9 mounted on

Start buy loosening the scope in the mounts. Loosen the front first to see if it is in a bind (left/right). Tighten it back down but not completely. Loosen the rear looking for some movement or popping sound. If you see a movement or notice some odd thing. check the mounting slots for dirt or dings that may cause an offset to the mount. If all is well. Go and start and zero for 13 - 15 yards. you want to be 1 1/2 inch hi. Now after each shot rap the scope with a screw driver handle or something solid, just to give the scope a shock not hard enough to bend it or dent it but shock it. Large scopes are meant for larger shock than a 22 produces, rapping the scope will help move the cross hairs and settle them in place. Hope this Fixya up. If it does help, please leave a testimonial. Thank you for using Fixya.

SOURCE: My Bushnell Banner rifle scope

you might be able to buy a weaver rail adapter that can change your elevation aswell as lift up your scope a bit just to make it a bit easier to see out of. try something like this maybe http://ant-supplies.co.uk/DovetailtoWeaverAdapters.aspx

I have an omark 44 drilled and tapped for scope have fitted a nighteater 8-32x44FC scope which runs out of elevation adjustment at 600 meters target,i want to shoot to 800 meters target, what can i do.

all you can do to raze the point of aim is to jack up the eye end of the scope with 35mm film strips or some thin shims,,,three strips of film will pick up the point of aim by miles

How to readjust a weaver mount?

Make sure the nuts are on the same side of the rifle (both on the right OR left). The clamping mechanism can vary the centering of the scope if they are on opposite sides of the mount.

The other problem may be poorly drilled mounting holes on the receiver or scope mount, check these for alignment with your bore or barrel.

Sight adjustments

It's a common misconception that you are moving the bullet's impact on the target... the bullet is hitting where the rifle is pointing and you want to get the scope to look at that very same spot.
To move the scope's reticle up or down, turn the elevation adjustment on the TOP of the scope in the direction you want the scope to look, so if your shooting low, turn the scope's adjustment in the DOWN direction.
If you want to move the direction the scope is looking left or right, turn the windage adjustment on the RIGHT side of the scope left or right to look where the bullet is impacting. To move the crosshairs to the right, turn it right.
Hope this helps, Mark the Gunsmith

I have a weaver k-8 scope with adj. rings on front bezel ??????

the front ring is for adjusting point of impact at a given range,,,its called a "parallax ajustment" it corrects for the scopes inaccuracies over its full range say from 10 yds to 100 yds there a bit of a pain on a hunting rifle as you need to focus them every time and that slows down your shooting, when only a snap shot will get the kill you cant wate to mess about focusing the darm scope so i never use them on my rifles,,unless im target shooing,, or im snipping when i have time to take my shot,,,
(a head shot only!) only a parallax scope is spot on aim from 10yds to infinity

yes it can be its not a lot out realy,, you could try swoping round the rear mount this may help but if not use a bit of 35mm film to shim the scope out

I can shoot my centerpoint scope on my .22 and it

When adjusting a scope just move a few clicks at the time, after every few clicks tap the scope with a screw driver handle. Fire 2 rounds for group tap and fire the third round it should be in line with the 2. Keep that up till on target. Let the gun sit till cold and re-fire for grouping, 2 rounds, wait then the third. To keep shooting round after round can get the reciver warm enough to wedge the scope in its bases, causing your problem.

VX-III 1.75-6X32MM. While zeroing for the fist time, I had to adjust the scope up by 10 clicks because it was shooting low. After the first adjustment, it was still shooting low. When I went to adjust...

cross hairs stick some times try taping the top after each adjustment if that don't work turn your scope so the left to right adjustment is on top and use it to raise and lower point of aim.

I have a model D-4 weaver rifle scope with missing adjustment par

Pretty much all rifle scopes have great warranties. Send it into weaver and i'm sure they will fix it plus replace any parts. I'm sure they will charge for missing parts but it would be best for them to look at it and check it out. TP
