Take your motor to a small appliance repairman. It might just be a loose wire..inside that needs replaced or re connected then follow my tips below.
I have been thru the fire about this! I sent my Healthmaster in recd
another and it failed also. Almost always..it is the bearing that fails
in the caraffe that supports the blade. The bearings that Jack Lalanne
had installed in China..were not sealed...so they would allow water to
enter corrode and eventually all of your blenders contents would come
out thru the bottom! Or another thing that can happen is your blade
will freeze up due to corrosion....and become immovable.
Jack
Lalanne healthmaster is out of business. I manged to get a refund form
Tristar..Lalannes distributor..BECAUSE they authorized me sending my
blender back for a new one...and then they cashed my shipping check and
then threw out my blender!!!!! I also had to call for weeks till I
drove Tristar insane...so they ponied up the dough
So I doubt you can receive any money.
But this is what you CAN do!
1)
If your motor functions well..you can buy a new carafe for 45 dollars
or so from Cooking toys ( google cooking toys and it should come up)
2)
OR if your cheap like me...and your blade doesnt rotate easily due to
corrosion and your caraffe isnt leaking much...put a couple drops of
oil on the outter rim of the bearing ( That would be located directly
on the bottom of the outside of the caraffe..it surrounds the knurled
metal part that is inserted in the motor for blending.
My blade was
corroded and leaking a tiny bit..I put some olive oil on the bearing
and it worked great! I have ben able to use my caraffe for a month
now...when I expected to have to buy a new one from "Cooking Toys"
Which I will do if this one fails.
3) If you buy a new caraffe form
cooking toys..my advice? OIL THE BEARING WITH A LITTLE OIL...(any kind
of vegetable oil) AFTER EACH TIME YOU USE IT! I SUSPECT IT WILL LAST
INDEFINITELY>>>BUT TIME WILL TELL!
Take yours and any others you can gather up and toss them in the deepest hole you can find, jack will turn over in his grave for sponsering this product
Try calling 973-575-5400 x129 -- that is supposed to be the warranty support person for Tristar Products. You can also send them a note from http://www.tristarproductsinc.com contact link, but I don't know if that will get any response.
