Need help with my Mitsubishi W52525

I thought the lamp had gone out and I got another one. It didn't help, thought maybe that one was bad too, but the replacement didn't work either. Came to this site saw ther was a way to get a reading by holding down the deive and menu buttons. I get a 1-2 blinking Can you help?. The red lamp light comes on when trying to turn on the set.

Also, Leadtech, I saw your solution for this, but where do I get a ballast?

Well, that's why I bought the 4 year extended warranty. They came and simply picked up the TV to return it in about a week all better. In the mean time we went out and bought a 52" Samsung LCD, , 1080p, 120Hz refresh rate, 40,000 : 1 contrast ratio, it's amazing! Know anyone who wants to buy a Mitsubishi 52" DLP in great condintion?

Yeah, only one. I purchased a new extended contract through Sears (where I originally bought it) and they are going to fix it. Because at last I was at a loss.

Mitsubishi wd-y65 binking red light problemm

Hello... Your TV has a lamp that has probably gone bad. The lamp is accessible from the back of the TV, located towards the right side. There is a square-ish piece of plastic with one screw on the left side. Unplug the TV, open the cover and there are two silver screws on the left, top and bottom. Loosen the screws, and then grab the handle and pull out the lamp. It may be obviously bad, but if you're not sure, take it to a service center to get their opinion. Be careful buying a lamp online, some will not last long and some may not work at all. Mitsubishi TVs need the correct lamp to work properly. I hope this helps.

Put new lamp in 12hrs later red light was on lamp had black around it why

new lamp may have gone bad. was this the recommended lamp for the unit. Most Mitsubishi units must have the correct manufacturer recommended lamp installed.

The correct part# for this unit is 915B403001

You may find that lamp at the following web site:

Red "lamp" light stays on

Red light indicates the lamp has failed to light. You may just need to buy a new lamp. If that does not help then the capacitors on PWB-Power need to be replaced or the lamp ballast itself has gone bad.

Tv starts to turn on then red light comes on and tv turns off

The red light indicates the lamp has has failed to light. You might just need a new lamp. If replacing the lamp does not solve your problem then the capacitors on PWB-Power need to be replaced or the lamp ballast itself has gone bad.

I thought the lamp had gone out on my Mitsubishi WD-62825G but after replacing the bulb (2 times) I figure it?s something more as the red light comes on instead of the TV. Called out A+ as they said they...

if is not under warranty then you should buy a new tv. i had 3 lamps, 1 light engine, and they are currently rebuilding the chasis for the second time. i got my tv in 12/04 and got the 5 yearextended warranty THANK GOD! they are spending more time/money to keep repairing this pos than its worth. they could have gotten me a new model and saved everone the hassle. i would not recommend repairing it.
good luck

WD-52525 Shuts off, shows red lamp light even after replacing lamp

maybe your problem is in the power supply circuit of your tv,but then try to replace the flyback first maybe there is no high voltage coming out on the cap.
