Dell Inspiron 6000 to TV

If your Samsung TV has a VGA input then connect a VGA cable to the TV and the other end of this cable to the video port on your Dell laptop. Turn on your TV and select the VGA (computer) input then boot up your Dell laptop.and then the video data from the laptop will automatically divert to the TV.
You can toggle between the TV and laptop LCD screen by holding down on the Fn key and press the F8 key.

if ur tv and computer have a Hdmi input area, then use a HDMI cable to connect it, or if they both have a a vga 9-pin input use a VGA 9-PIN cable, and ur computer should be able to connect to the tv

Your laptop does not have a HDMI port. You only have VGA, you have to purchase a VGA to VGA cable VGA is video only interface. So you will need it along with the stereo audio cable

Note that the stereo audio cable shoulb be connected from the headphones jack on your laptop to the headphones jack on you home theater system if you have one or buy this adapter plug the stereo audio cable coming from the laptop into it and connect it to the stereo audio in (red and white audio)of your tv

The 1525has a a hdmi port which you can plug a hdmi cord into. This may not support the audio. the tv and pc should detect the new monitor automatically or you may have to toggle it by hitting F4 key.

You just need a HDMI cable to go from the laptop to the TV. It is refered to as a patch cable. You then go into the TV menu and set it to component or in some cases it will say computer. The VGA on the TV just allows both style interfaces to be connected.

You will have to look at your TV to see what type of interface it has for PC connectivity, this is because there are 2 types of Video out on the laptop, first the s-video and secondly VGA (D-SUB).

I would recommend the VGA connection as the quality of the picture will be much better than s-video, so you will need a male to male VGA cable if your TV takes that interface (a male to male mini stereo cable is also required for audio)

If your TV only supports s-video then you are stuck with that interface until you upgrade your TV.

If your TV supports a VGA cable it should also support computer audio in. You need to purchase a mini stereo cable and plug it in to the headphone socket on the laptop and run it to the computer audio in on the TV,just using the VGA cable alone will not produce any sound.

Try to connect S-video to tv and press Fn+F8 at the same time.

The PC card you have doesnt appear to work with that adaptor. Dell Has its own Svideo / Video output adaptors.

You need a converter not an adaptor. Try looking on Amazon for this: ITV-900 PC to TV Converter

then you need to connect audio, either from an onboard audio port or your audio-out port which you will need an adapter to plug into the audio out then convert to RGA compatable connector which will plug into your tv audio in port
