SOURCE: My turntable, cassette player line out does not

Connect the line OUT on your turntable to the line IN on your computer.

Some sound cards are more sensetive than others so you may require a PRE-AMP between the two items.

These are not too expensive or bulky and available at a large variety of places such as radio shack and many places that sell component audio devices such as recievers etc.

My Dell XPS 410 monitor keeps blinking on and off. As in the green light comes on, and the dell logo appears for a half second before shutting off again. This keeps repeating no matter what I do! What

One bad or faulty lead connection can cause a computer to continue restarting on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL.

http://www.kitchentablecomputers.com/static.php - rules

Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty

if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as a faulty electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems

computers need all power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket

if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free

restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

hope this helps

My Dell monitor goes to sleep right after windows xp starts to load and it won't come on after that. my computer is still running but the monitor is a sleep. I have hit f8 and f12 with nothing happening....

Go into safe mode
Under settings, control panel, power options set "turn off monitor to never
reboot

I think this is not a sleep problem but the incorrect monitor settings were set. This will cause the screen to go black when the OS comes up. Boot in safe mode and change the display settings
to 640x480
OR
in safe mode, delete your monitor. When you reboot it will load a default monitor and you should be OK

Dell XPS 400 tower does not power up monitor?

The “self test” on the monitor displays when not plugged into a computer. This means that it’s working. The LED error code 2 and 4 means the video subsystem has a problem. Either your video card is bad or bad memory module. Try reseating video card and/or memory.
