Clicking noise from the bottom of my chevy tahoe, whenever i hit a hard bump or high rpm?

Whenever i start driving from a start the noise doesn't start until i hit high rpm or a hard bump in the road. p.s. when the noise starts it still runs and drives fine, but if i come to a complete stop turn the truck off and then restart it the noise stops until i hit high rpm or a hard bump again is there neone out there that can help me figure out what this could be?

Chevy Trucks, Blazers, S10 pickup and the like will vapor lock ecspecially the 2000 models. Do not tighten the gas cap past 1 click. There is a tube that runs from the top of the tank down and this gets hot and collapses or burns in half. We just bought a reinforced rubber tube cut it to lengh and use it instead of part and it's worked grat for 2 years so far.

SOURCE: 2000 CHEVY SILVERADO 5.3L FUEL GAUGE PROB.

The problem is in the tank.The sending unit float gauge is worn.Its a factory GM issue.You will Need to replace the sending unit in the tank.I had the same problem and thats what I found.Its real common and this will solve your problem..Its 67.00 Dollars on Ebay..

SOURCE: 2001 Chevy 2500HD 6.0L, Hard starting.

Check the fuel pressure, bad fuel pump or sock on the fuel pump and fuel filter check spark plugs and check distributor cap, a fuel pump is $273.00 or a bad injector $110.99 or BWD Fuel Vapor Pressure Sensor for $35.99 any of these parts could cause the problem, so without doing a fuel pressure test it is a guess, if the vapor switch is bad it could cause a long crank time if the fuel pump is bad it has a check valve in the fuel pump, if the check valve goes bad the pump can't maintain fuel pressure so on start up the fuel has to pump from the tank all the way up to the fuel rail, if the injectors is bad it could leak after engine shut down and cause you to lose fuel rail pressure. Also the fuel vapor sensor could be stuck open and could cause the problem, all need to be tested, you can rent the fuel pressure tester from AutoZone or advance auto or Shucks they return your money when you bring the tool back as long as you buy the parts to repair it from them. That would be the first thing I would check fuel pump pressure and if you replace the pump then change the fuel sock as well. That model was not meant to burn ethanol and can kill the fuel sock the fuel pump and filter.

SOURCE: my 2004 chevy trailblazer just turns over without starting until the 3rd try. also when i put gas in it, it dies and doesn't want to start

Get underneath and check the linkage bar that goes from the shifter inside the cabin to the tranny underneath. Sometimes these bars, especially on GMC vehicles can come off or become stuck, if it does become stuck then you have to take it to a dealer because local mechanics unless they've dealt with it will only make the situation worse. i used to tow cars and trucks and this is a common issue with GMC from the 90s til mid-to late 2000s

Chevy tahoe gear differential

remove the drain plugs from the diff units and check for metal bits. Check for metal in the transfer case oil as it sounds like a bearing in the diff section of the transfer case has failed.. There is a small diff here to allow the front wheels to travel at a different speed to the rear unit to allow for driving over un even surfaces or speed bumps.

2009 chevy tahoe making transfer case noise when hitting bump in road

Have the drive chain of the transfer case checked for excessive wear, that is about all that would cause this to make noise. There is a special tool for checking slack of chain.
