I reformated my hard drive and, went from windows me to windows xp now my oregon scientific ds6618 will not work . IT SAYS CAMERA NOT DETECTED.

Install the DRIVERS for WINDOWS. Keep in mind that the OS in this drivers work in Windows 98 (including the second edition), Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me), Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home Edition.

Additional details about format pics, charging with USB cable (page 17), and transfer pics from camera/pc (page 11) could fiind in the DS6618 Owners Manual (PDf format).

I have XP, the Oregon Scientific DS6618 works great. When the box appears about the compatability test, just click "continue anyways". That message doesnt mean it wont work. Just that Microsoft hasnt gotten around to testing it themselves.

If you have Windows XP- you do not need a disk Simply plug it in and if the camera is working XP will recigunise it as a new drive in 'MyComputer'
